Caib 1 is the first of four modules in the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) program designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed for careers in property and casualty insurance. The program covers residential lines (home and auto), commercial lines (business) and brokerage management. Students who successfully complete all four modules will be eligible to use the nationally recognized CAIB designation, provided they work for an IBABC member brokerage.
Do you need a license to sell insurance in Alberta?
A CAIB graduate’s responsibilities include determining the appropriate products and services for their clients based on risk analysis, client needs and market trends. This is done in a way to ensure the best coverage at the lowest cost.
CAIB students are encouraged to learn the industry’s key terms and definitions. ILScorp offers a variety of online CAIB exam preparation courses and Daily Assisted Virtual Classroom Programs that are great ways to study for the exams.
Once a student registers for an online CAIB exam, they must choose the date and time they wish to write the exam. Once we receive the registration and payment, you will be sent a candidate code and link to book an online exam time via email. Please do not phone us to register for exam times, as this will not be accepted. The candidate code must be used within one year of the initial registration date. Online CAIB exam re-writes after this period are treated as first-time exams and are priced accordingly.
